Damage to my CVs with ADD??
This has probably been covered before but I barely realized I have Toyota's ADD system
. With 1.5" BJ spacers and a 1" diff drop will there still be alot of wear on my CV joint/boot?

sort of
there will be still yes.... the whole ADD idea is kinda dumb... i mean in your case you end up ( in terms of cv angles) with 1/2" of lift right? but even with no lift it is just wearing them out every time you drive. you may as well drive around in 4hi the whole time. realistically most of us know when we are going off roading, or may need 4x4 before we get in the truck... so why have your whole front assembly doing nothing every day? its worth the 50 -100 $$ and there are many places to find hoe to rebuild em. I'll sell ya some aisins....

Even without any lift your cv joints get worn out faster then they should.
ADD is pretty much like having manual hubs but locked 100% of the time.
I would look for a set of used Aisin manual hubs.
They are usually expensive ( you get what you pay for!) but somtimes you can find a good deal.
They are a 100% direct swap, unbolt the ADD flange and bolt up the manual hubs. It took us 15 mins.

The diff drop should put you back close to stock angles. But like mentioned above they are still turning constantly. DO the Manual hub conversion. I did mine today in like 40 min, and had to rebuild one of them.
Wabbit might have some for sale that are probably better than new. If you find some used ones hit up the Wabbit for the necessary parts to go thru them to make sure everything is good to go.

If you have to rebuild them like I did, its quite easy.
If you look online you can get a few really good writeups with step by step directions.
cost me 20 dollers to rebuild them and that included.
buying snap ring plyers, grease and paint.
Gametom:
They might look the same but I really would not count on it.

2"-3" BL with A/T???
I guess I have to work on those manual hubs too. "Bry-an", how much for the Aisins?? One question off topic: According to 4crawler.com you CAN use a 2" or 3" body lift on Automatic 2nd gen with the use of a A/T shift lever bracket. Would there be any other problems using a 2"-3" BL with the use of that bracket?

We ran into a few snags..
1. front body mount (cusion is how toyota discribes it) was seized so we had to cut it out and buy a new one ( 78 freakin dollers!).
2. steering extension was a pain, had to put it by the steering wheel not by the steering box like the instructions said.
3. had to bend shifter to clear transfercase shifter. (shouldve bent the t-case shifter instead)
Other then that it went pretty smoothly, we where working under a tarp in the pouring rain.
the cuss words flew that day!

ya no more hubs, sorry my brother wanted them as spares, but you can just pick some up even at a wrecker... be careful look closely and if you can get the stupid little cone washers... you'll know what they are when you see em,..... if you have to take them off a truck, bring a brass bar and a hammer. (brass bar is also called a brass drift) actually you might have the cones on your ADD i dont remember... either way the are a pain in the ass. good luck.!
