Custom Air Box?!?!?

I have searched high and low for a thread.

Someone on this board built a custom air box to house a K&N conical air filter.

Does anyone know who that was?

Thank you, Phessor

I dunno. Better call NASA. Sounds pretty complicated.

Seriously though. What are you looking for? Blueprints? If you seen the thing, make one like that. I've seen others that you can buy that would probably work. You search hard enough you'll find those too.

get a box from the junkyard and just cut a hole in it and add some rubber and there ya go!!

and IIRC i've seen plenty of people just running the cones without a box. looks pretty good imo

I have a K&N filter now but I want to add a snorkel to my truck.
Problem is, I need a box that will house the filter and allow me to attach the tubing from the snorkel as well.

I thought the point of the box was to help isolate the intake from hot engine bay air.

The only way to effectively do that is to swap the intake over to the other side. At that point, you don't really need the box....
