I was wondering if anyone has seen or tried this ?
Is it worth the money ? and do you gain the HP's?

saw the pic... where does the PAIR system get it's air from with that intake?

and word has it that you'd be better off doing the afm/battery swap

I think a few people on here have that one(I could be wrong). I made my own, I won't post a pic because it's pretty ugly, but I didn't really feel an increase in HP and maybe the truck get .5 mpg better.
Other than looking cool and making noise, I don't think it will really do anything. But it's only $50 so if you want it, go for it.

i have a similar setup:

u recieve more of the potential HP (not that big of a difference) but it sounds a little better. The only reason I would really recommend getting one is if you have no other choice. My airbox was smashed, so it was cheaper to go aftermarket.

For $51 if it includes AFM, thats pretty cheap. Even if it doesn't its still a pretty good price. Just make sure that either it comes with or u can make brackets to mount it.

might be a stupid question, but when you do this type intake crossover pipe mod, what happens to that other hose that connects to the airbox?

You must be referring to the PAIR air supply.
I've asked myself that same question....

It's up to you but I wouldn't run that cone filter under the hood. All it will do is suck up hot air & decrease your HP. Those things are junk unless you mount it out of the engine bay. There are better options.

Uhm not really? as long as you dont put it super close to the headers you'll be fine while youre driving

ive found that the engine responds better with the cone filter as opposed to an airbox...

also, it breathes through a small hole in the sheetmetal up front by the headlight.

Ideally would be a scoop from the outside, but this is a pretty good alternative.

I ran mine under the hood and have no issues.

u don't have to break anything in

however, i did notice that after my truck sitting on a tank of gas for 2 months was refilled, it ran a lot better. More power, pickup, gooseage...

i don't know if i had gas pump andrenaline or what...

If you don't want the cold air intake, can you take it off and put the air box back on or are you wrecking the air box so it cant be reused ?
Thanks for all the info .....

yep you can just put the stock intake/airbox back on if you don't want the aftermarket on.
You don't need to cut up the stock air box to remove it. Just unbolt it.
