Curbed the rear and now it's noisey

Before I pull the axles out, which I will need to do anyways to change out the diff to 4.88, I'd like to know what to look for so any opinion is helpful
I bought the vehicle from a guy whose son curbed the rear wheel. It was a hard curbage too because the steel rim was bashed up pretty good from when he spun out. I drove the truck home and the rear end makes a wishy washy noise that sounds like the brake rubbing on the shoes.

What could be bent? The axle shafts? the drum rubbing?

How much force does it take to bend an axle?

I have since new put rims and tires on it but havent driven the vehicle, nor lifted it up to check for wobbling. When it warms up, I'm going to put a dial indicator with a magnetic base and check for warpage in the axle. Will probably replace axle seal and check bearings too while I'm at it.
As for the leaves, they are flat and shot, so I'm getting OME springs and shackles plus I'm sure the integrity of the hardware was compromised, considering its age, when he nailed the curb. Thoughts? I'll post pics later.
