Cold idle too high???

My cold idle seems to be very high and was wondering what everone else has for a cold idle. This is on a 22RE. When I first start the truck it idles at 2200 or so then comes down as it warms up. This is at about 15C. It idles great when warm at about 800rpm. I checked my throttle plate and the adjustment screw is not holding the throttle open at all.

Anyone else have this high of an idle?

1500 tops, maybe slightly more in the coldest of weather out here.

That's fairly normal RPM for a cold fast idle on the newer 22re's. I know the older air valves on the 22re's are adjustable, not sure on the newer ones though. Maybe someone will chime in here.

carbon build up in throttle body (preventing plate from freely moving), vacuum leak, tps adjustment?

VSV working and adjustment valve functional? Sometimes they stick and cause funky idle conditions.

after about 150k miles on my 3.4 taco, it started to idle high, then calm as it got warmer, it had 200k miles when i traded it, it never bothered me, never leaked, or burned oil, got about 20mpg still. but i don't know what caused it.

I had another intake so I took the high speed unit apart. It is very simple just a plunger with a spring. Coolent runs behind it an must heat up a plate that pushed the plunger closed. The truck idle does come down as it warms up so I can't see how this could be it. Maybe this is just normal. Very high for my liking though.
