Need some Quality Shocks for a 2wd PU.

Searched the forums found hardly nothing at all for my 91 2wd truck in terms of shocks. It's got the orginal toyota shocks still on the truck. Ride is starting to suffer even though the truck is relatively low mileage. Going to be putting on 17x8" wheels and 235/45/17 tires soon. So I know the low profile tires are gonna make the truck ride even worse. Which shock would you guys recommend? I want to keep the whole set under $150 bux so no bilsteins. I want a comfortable ride. thanks

If it's not bilsteins, then get the cheapest you can find. the shocks will last a year, and by that time, you will be tired of the setup, have a serious job and upgrade your truck! ha!, but seriously, cheapos at sears, or somehting will be great. Monroe?

I'm thinking about getting some OE toyota shocks i mean they lasted this long why not get a new set, and they are only like 25 bux a piece?

I got some pro comps es 9000s for the rear and procomp es 3000 for the front, I recomend 9000's all the way around, but their real stiff, but still great for offroading, I've had mine for about 3 years and their still just as strong from the first day I bought them, but they dont do their greatest in 110 degree weather, I live in the desert so It fries down here, they cost about 30-35 bucks a piece, hope this helps.

my original equipment shocks are rusty, but still OK, at 148,000. I think I may buy some of them too, if they are 25 bucks! I think they are tokico brand.
I seriously doubt for 2wd low rider he wants pro comp 9000's, but hey the rides gonna be rough anyway.

toyota has a lifetime gaurantee on mufflers, tailpipes, and shocks. After the initial 3/36 warr. is up, you will have to pay to purchase OEM Toy shocks and have them put them on by toyota....but after that....they are free. I believes this applies to any owner.

Plus....Tokico was (maybe still is used...) on the pre-runners I believe.
