I never haul anything besides the toolbox loaded down with essentials like a chain, strap, and tools. So I guess a bigger decision would be what color coils I should get...

Why do they call you duckie? Lol

The ones I ordered are Black. I didn't know I had a choice lol, although I would have choosen black springs anyway. And its because I have a duckie tattoo on my arm.

Lol, nice.

You Always have a choice of color, its called spray paint!
My buddies also selling me a set of longer, rebuildable resivoir shocks . The whole set-up should be pretty squishy and easy riding, even on hard landings! lol

So, has anyone thought about coils in the rear to go with the Blazeland LT kit?

Update.

I have discovered no odd noises from the zuk spring. However there is always tons of crap in my truck and any noises might be hidden by the tools and dog and other various things bouncing around in it.

I've used it off road a bunch and they perform GREAT! I just need to figure out an easy way to get about 1.5 more inches on the pass side as its uneven. But it might be perhaps all the crap in the back. I'm gonna unload it and check.

Towed my mule (4 legged critter not atv) and a 2 horse trailer last weekend and the springs performed amazingly well. Zuk these springs are amazing. Great performance, great price, easy install.

Thanks again.

What did you find out? was it the stuff in your bed that made it uneven?

My truck sags an inch lower on the right side.

Was gonna find some new replacement leaf packs (only found JCWhitney so far), but may do this mod.

Should this level out my truck (left and right sides) too?

I am somewhat interested in trying the TJ rear coils version. These are the stock TJ coils correct? Is it rears or fronts?

Otherwise I will probably go with the 12" 125 lb Black Magic springs. Just trying not to cut anything if I can help it.

I found that the springs did level the truck out, to an extent. When my gas tank is full (being on the pass side) I have some sag on that side, when lower the truck is level. The springs are the best cheap mod I have done to my truck. They are a great deal and the install was simplicity. It took longer to jack the truck up than to install the springs. This is a great mod. I wish I had gone with a little stiffer springs tho, however I am pleased that I installed the ones that I did. I posted a walk thru on photobucket that is posted earlier in this thread. If you want any help with the install procedure PM me and I'll send u a phone call. I recommend this mod highly.

Further update. I have been through some ROUGH terrain on my ranch and these springs have not popped out even at pretty much full flex. They also allow me to handle towing loads much better keeping the trailer level. No odd noises (that I can tell you know how noisy these old yotas can be!) that I can tell. Kudos Zuk.

Agreed. I put the ones on my 86 custom cab but I just picked up a 92 with 22k on a rebuilt 22re and the leafs are like... FLAT horizontal. Figure the ole ZUK spring mod will be an easy fix. I cant wait to see that thing when its done its already got 2" lift on it.

Schweet. Mega clearance. I bought a damaged 18 wheeler box 54' for storage at the ranch about 3 weeks ago for $250. A friend hauled it out there with his 18 wheeler and just went to SINKING in the field. I hooked a logging chain and JERKED him up and out and DRAGGED him thru the field in 4 low (his wheels spinning too of course) with the new 92. I mean that truck is just a little TRACTOR. I wish I had shot video. I'd have been in a Toyota commercial.

Holy smokes .....helping an 18 wheeler thru the field...that's pretty good.

This new set of coils you're getting....you can cut the upper steel stoppers way shorter than you did on your 86 shown below. Once you drop the wheel as far as it will ever drop and verify that the distance is less than 14" then you can cut the stoppers shorter. Looking forward to seeing you new pics

Here's a re=post shot of my Toyota truck...14x100 coils. My coils retainer is about 1/2" tall....but the coils cannot physically pop out....even with the rear axle hanging in the air so that the wheels are down as far as the leafs will allow, I noted the coil was tight....and measured 12 inches long meaning it had 2 more inches left before it thought about loosening up.

Yah. You could see it sinking, the 18 wheeler. The field had been disked for winter wheat about 4-5 months b4 and we had rain. Dont get me wrong...he did most the work, I got him going again. Slapped it in 4L and jerked him 5-6 times w. the logging chain.

I'll probably leave them long. More meat is better meat. Wasnt a big deal getting them in there. I'm just gonna do 4b n after pics this time. Taking all those pics by myself added time to the project that I just dont have lately.
