code reading problems
I have a 94 toyota pickup with the 22re in it! I have been having some pining problems so I decided to jump the TE1 and the E1 in the Diog box to see if I had and stored codes. The CEL just keeps blinking. How do you tell what code you are getting. I thought it would pause for a sec or two. All your help will be usefull. Thanks guys

Dont have a manual. Just read a post on the net that told me about stored codes. They dident how ever state that if it just keeps blinking that there arnt any codes. Dont know for sure about this Im kinda new to this kinda stuff. Also is the TE1 and E1 for timming?

I thought it was. I will look at my manual and post back!
O.K, in my manual under timing it says to jump those two terminals. It does however say that those terminals will be repeatedly be used during diagnostics in later sections. I will look into this further. Are you trying to read the codes???

#7 on Autozone how to:
Codes will flash in numerical order. If no faults are stored, the lamp flashes continuously every 1/2 second. This is sometimes called the Normal or System Clear signal.
