code 3 always and code 10 (new) and sometime code 6

I have a 86 pickup 22RE that lost like almost all power on the freeway driving about 65 mph made it to a gas station and when i was just at idle felt like it was running on two cylinders but all four were firing and when you drive and give it more gas feels like the engine has drag and wants to go slower. there was a code 3 always and code 10 (new) and sometime code 6. i know i have to check for vacuum leaks but i have been reading about the distriputor failing but when under no load higher rpms seem to be fine but no power with load and rough idle to where it will just die out please all the help i can get !!!!!

Are you running a cat? I've seen the symptoms you described caused by a plugged converter.

if it seems like it's running on 2 cylinders, I'd check the wiring harness by the motor for the injectors to see I they're broken, my truck was missin on a cylinder and didnt know why till i did and found an injector wire broke off from the splice, since the injector wires go from 4 wires and split off to 8, two wires per injector, and those wires are spliced and will break, like I found out...

Well when it idles it feels like its running on two but you can hear each cylinder fire cause the rpms are so low but when you press the gas and bring it to like 2000 rpms it seems fine but when you let off the gas it backfires on the rev down. I have a strait through with glass pack exhaust so I'm used to some pops but not like this I have been asked about timing but my timing marks are good on the chain and cam

Well idk if I fixed the problem completely but I checked for vacuum leaks and there was non so I started messing with the distriputor and I moved it left a little bit and it smoothed out a lot and can drive it but it still has a slight miss but now the tach dropped out any ideas ????

if it's a gear driven distributor the gear may be worn causing the timing to be out or a damaged wire to the pickup coil in the distributor hard to say. pull cap off mark rotor position and pull the distributor and check it for any kind of damage
