I have just purchased a 91 4runner, and I am having trouble keeping it running. It surges on start, then idles down slowly to the 2 to 3 hundred rpm range. At stops it again idles down, and tries to stall. I immediately thought the vas but I noticed the stalling corresponds with a clicking in the dash on the passenger side of the car. Anyone know what manner of voodoo this is? Or maybe it is unrelated, and I do need a new vane air sensor.
