Exclamation Click and no bang!

Well we just finished the rebuild of my 91 pickup. I got in turned the key and it clicked once and nothing else. So now i am surfing the net looking for possible problems. Any suggestions. Where did I go wrong in the wiring?

might wanna post stuff like this in The Newbie tech Folder.... things like engine type (22RE, 3.Slo etc) also help but I am thinking Roger is steering you in the right direction.


Also, check out the link to Online Service Manuals in my signature, you will be able to find wiring diagrams for your truck

I just replied over there too.
but you said negative and a single wire plug?
you meant positive? starter gets negative through its mounting.
