Exclamation Cheap 3.0L build help

I have a 1992 pickup with the 3.0L and a 5 speed. its my DD but i like to go in the woods on weekends. id like to do some power upgrades and make her a little more trail ready. i am on a budget so any cheep ideas greatly appreciated.

Done so far: 3 inch body lift, 31 in. All-terrains. and custom Cherry Bomb exhaust

Well you can do the ISR mod, EGR delete and a K&N drop in filter since your on a budget...those are the only three cheap mods i can think of.

Search please. The truck has plenty of power for a trail rig. If you want to out accelerate your punk friends with Mustangs, its not going to be cheap or reliable.

If you speed and power, its not cheap and you have to do an engine swap.

Check out the Toyota 3.4L V6, small block Chevy, both are popular swaps. But not cheap.

i thought about a Ford 302 only cause there is less work, i know i wont have to bang out the firewall so the desributer will fit. but im in college and cant afford to do that. and whats an ISR mod?? i like the egr delete idea though, how would i do that?? is there a kit?? or is it a do it yourself sorta thing?? and how much power am i looking at? i did that on my 95 chevy and got an extra 50 horses but i dont know about toyotas...thanx for the input guys, much appreciated!
