Can someone help me identify a 22re plug and parts
I'm trying to get my AC going. I just got the retrofit today and it blows cold but my idle sucks. I noticed I don't have the idle up valve in my engine compartment so I stole one from another motor (which doesn't have AC).
My truck is an 86 pickup but I don't know if the engine is from the same truck because my truck has AC components but the idle valve was missing.
Could someone help me identify the plug that is in the red box?
Also, does anyone know how the 2 smaller hoses on the ac idle (thing in the green box) up is routed? There are 2 small ports (cant see in my pic - 1 on the bottom and 1 at the back ) that are plugged right now. I stole the picture below from pirate.
It looks like I have a different valve in the top right corner.
Also, what is the part in the purple box? The 2 ports are plugged?? Am I missing some stuff??
Thanks

if its anything like my truck, (barely any hoses left that are still plugged in) it wont matter.
but.
i would check w/the dealer, b/c they have the digital manuals and print pages up for me when i visit them and get oil filters.
plus, they can tell you how/what size the hoses that are needed.
i can only see the lower pix, and cannot see a green box, but will look when i get home (work i.t. dept is paranoid)...
hope that helps

Green box: A/C idle up valve.
Purple box: Manifold vacuum source.
Red Box: electrical plug to A/C idle up solenoid (???)
edit:
Oops, didn't read all of the OP. That looks right in second pic. The blue valve in the top pic is part of the EFI and emission control stuff.

I think I got it now from Roger Brown's site:
That guy is a godsend.
Looks like I'm missing the thingamajig in the bottom right corner.

That would be the A/C idle up solenoid
note the way the hoses are routed in that picture, It is the correct way.
Once you have that hooked up you should be able to adjust the A/C idle with the big black screw on top of the A/C idle up valve. and that should be about 50rpm above regular idle

I thought the idle up thing was behind the glove compartment...? Cunninglinguist..lol, how's the a/c do with 134A in it?? Does it still blow cold when yer stopped at idle? I'm thinking about retrofitting mine as well, as it leaks out the Freeze-12 every 3 mos. and it's getting expensive. Plus the summers here in AZ last basically 6 MONTHS and are hot as hell.

I live in Vancouver Canada. It doesn't get quite as hot as where you are and I probably only need the cold for about 3 months of the year. The rest of the year I'm only gonna use it to defrost my windshield. The guy who did it for me was my old neighbor who is an ac mechanic and he said he will take care of me if it leaks away or it's not cold enough next time.
