Buzzing Dash

If I turn my ac/heating fan all the way up, the blower engine makes my dash vibrate. The dash still vibrates at lower settings, but not as badly. Any suggestions? My truck is a '91 4Runner with a 22RE.

My 92 Truck does the same thing. Annoying as hell, huh?

if you dont plan on removing your dash, id JB Weld your dash to the firewall.. there are some connectors that you bolt on... id JB weld that. im waiting until i get my dash pad and pillar trim before i do that.

Check for loose screws, or maybe see if the fan itself is dirty and out of balance because of it, or has some sort of matter in it (Not a Yota my GF's Metro had a dead bird in the fan, which caused the whole blower assembly to shake and rattle in the dash)

blower removal

If I recall it comes straight down from behind the glovebox. I believe you have to remove the glovebox first. It's not as daunting as it appears, but you have to have a flashlight or shoplight down there. My 94' was doing the same thing and all it took was a cleaning. I wish these older toys had a cabin air filter like the newer ones to protect the blower fan.

Fan Motor Vibration

Yeah sounds like you have leaves or dead rodents or lots of dirt causing that vibration hehe , could be a bearing in the motor but they generally lock up before that time .
Mine is a '91 with the 3.0 but it is under glove box toward the right just behind the firewall (inside) , kinda of a pain to get out (very tight) but got out without removing anything else (I have A/C also) , mine wasn't vibrating but had bad brushes and the brushes on the motor armature made a annoying ticking / whirring sound .

Yours must be diff than mine , all I had to remove was the under dash cover and then the fan motor/blower cage housing , it was just a pain to get out without removing the A/C Duct but worked just fine (tight fit going in and coming out - one of those hold your mouth just right and walaaa)
