Bumper Interchangable?

I just picked up a 86 4runner which is missing a rear bumper. I just found a smittybuilt rear bumper off a 91 Toyota pickup for cheap. I figured they are closely related vehicles since they both share this forum, but I wasn't sure how closely related. Anyone know if it'll fit? Thanks

Pretty sure the rear bumper will match us as the 1st gen 4runners had frame mounted bumpers like the trucks.

The gille however would fit, I knew a guy who had a 84-88 grille on his third gen truck.
I prefer the look of the 89-91 though.

not sure about the bumper, I dont think it would line up with the body very nicely

You can make anything work, I have a 94 Yota bumper on my Nissan, worse comes to worse you can make or buy brackets to make it work

No , it will not work. It will sit to high and prevent your door from opening all the way, care to ask me how I know ? You'll have to have the brackets cut and welded ,but I could be wrong
