We'll considering i don't want to spend over 600$ an arb or tjm is out of the ball park. I really think they would look stuiped on my truck as it is not lifted because they are big and stick out. I would have to have 33's or greater to balance out the bulkiness. That is why i was leaning more towards a brush gaurd sort of bumper. I like the one on ebay but they are only made for 89 + trucks. So that is when i found the sterling eq site. But he said he cant put a winch in these on the older models because there is nowhere besides the lower frame to support it. So i am thinking about no winch, because i hardly ever go offroading and when i do its with friends with big trucks.

People buy it for the look. I've one Toyota with, one without. I like the look. But it serves no earthly purpose, and trust me, I have more brush on my 80 acres than most people will see in a life time.

Also gives a nice platform for front lights. Which I have. But bumper mounts would work, and no extra weight.

Is "style" worth the extra weight? I doubt it.

Oh, one more point. Might prevent a careless driver from backing into your front end. If you live in the city, or suburbs. Its a mean look, and seeing that in your rear view mirror would prevent a light tap. Also, a light tap would do more damage to the trunk of the offender.

Is it worth it? I doubt it. But I like the look on the one that has it.

Chaque a son gout!

I had one I sold for $50. Goto the junkyard and snoop around they were factory from toyota on the 31in tire option. Also if ya find a truck with a toyota one on you probably just found a 4.56 truck too.

Get a Warn or ARB bumper...

my big complaint about it is the side2side vibrations and the rubbing it does behind the corner lights. both fenders have rub marks from it.
it did a great job bouncing off a rock, got a little bent and saved the bumper, it folded the plastic a little and broke off a plastic cover, nothing major.
