Clearance is pretty tight, but it doesn't hit. Did a pretty aggressive test drive with it down my road. no rub marks or any signs of damage.

The shock Im questioning about... need to look up the stock length to know for sure. This one is around 13 1/2 from center of the hole to the bottom of the stud.

There had to be some damage from the accident the just finally let the bracket loose. There was something else the contributed to the failure besides driving the truck down the road.

Maybe, but it happened on both sides.... 2 summers ago I caught a bit more air than I'd have prefered which ended in me bending my lower bump stops up a smidge. This could have played into it as well.

I beleive with spacers the shock needs to be 14.5-15 long. That seems too short.

i had a feeling. didnt make sense for it to pull down like it did if the shocks still had travel. it would have hit the bump sstop first.

Nice! Did you have any issues with matching the sizes of the bolts / bushings / tab holes? The bolt size on the LCA tabs is a rather large metric bolt (approx 5/8") where the Ford towers looks to be 1/2" And the tab widths differ to?

I just swapped the bushing out of the old shock and put it in the new one for the lower tab. Upper bushing and collar was the right size from the store.
