broke a pro comp leaf spring
Has anyone ever broke a leaf spring? We were out playing and having fun on our way home from a good day. and suddenly we hear a snapping sound and low and behold the main leaf snapped in half between the shakles. has anyone ever done anything like this?? pics will follow. forgot to add it was a pro comp spring

I broke number 3 spring on the driver's side.
I was trying to twist it up as best I could with the stock set-up, and then I heard a louder clang then normal. When i got back to camp I noticed it was broken in two places, one right be the rear u-bolt and then again about 6 inches up the arch, all on the same leaf.
Funny thing is it never sat lower on that side. Also I ran with a broken leaf for about a year and a half before I split the pack and swapped in a good leaf.

yeah we broke them because the aal leafs were not heavy duty, but the ones that came from the factory were. or the otherway around and the unbalanced strength trashed both rear packs.
