Brake light issues
My son just bought a 93 4x4 extended cab pickup v6 and the brake lights are not working. I have check the fuse, the brake switch has voltage but not sure where the wire goes from there. No power at the light socket. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The manual gives a procedure for testing the switch. http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1990-1995...e/stopligh.pdf
If the switch is working, you either have a broken switched wire, a broken grounding wire, or a shorted wire. Start with checking continuity to ground at the light socket; one side should have continuity, the other not (remember that the truck bed is NOT ground; it's insulated by rubber shock mounts). Then get a piece of wire and check for continuity on the switched line back to the switch.
Good luck!

If you end up with issues, the wire harness leading to the entire rear of the truck exits the cab through a sealed hole on the passenger side, right around where the front passenger seat bolt is. From there it runs along the frame along the top of the gas tank, past the load sense value and finally drops down to the bottom of the tailgate before going back up to the light assemblies.
I had a bad wire for my taillights in that harness and just ended up splicing a new wire in from that sealed hole all the way back.
