have a 93 pickup replaced the motor last year. starting on the bodywork now and cash for clunkers got me clean fenders doors hood for really cheap ( mind you that was the SADDEST trip to the junkyard ever lol ) ..... BUT cant find one with a good bed and mine is toast i have searched high and low for beds for cheap but no one around me has anything ( if they do its as bad as mine and they want 800$ for it . anyone ever know of someone who put a ranger stepside/flareside bed on their yota? i found 3 of those beds basically mint and for pretty cheap...... anyone have advice?

 

you could go with a toyota fiberglass bed, it doesnt say how much they are but you could call them..

i saw the fiberglass beds from what i have heard they are pretty expensive. the stepside wasnt my first idea. just cant find anything been looking all summer and cant find anything clean.(p.s. to hell with ohio and their damn salt in winter)

 

yeah nevermind to find all the prices you have to go through a few pages but the beds are 1,800 dollars... so thats probably out of the question..

you could also try a tacoma stepside if you like them, i think that one has been done before?

 

Put a flatbed on it lol Iv had the same trouble.. My bed is toast on the passenger side. Cant find one in good shape anywhere

 

fiberglasss never usually works out very well and im not spending more than i paid for my truck on a fiberglass bed .. ranger flarside beds are soo easy to find i have seen them done with super old school flareside beds . . just wanted to know if anyone had seen one done with a newer bed.

 

Whats bad on your box? the 1/4 panels, or is the under side going too?

If you can weld, I would say make your own flat bed, with removable sides.

 

Pretty much the whole passenger box side is beat ta hell... i could always buy a new side from my dad (hes been doing auto body work for 35 years) hes got all the hook ups for real cheap. All you do is cut the old panels off and weld on the new ones. Better get good at MIG welding tho.. as welding thin steel is a pain. Im a millwright so i do ALOT of welding.. and it can b a challenge for me. Usually my dad brazes on most things... but thats become somewhat of a lost art.
