Can anyone tell me what the plastic piece that goes to the left of the bondo patch on the bottom is? And maybe where I can get new ones.

I've always seen them called a "gravel shield" or "gravel guards". 4Runners had them too but they don't interchange with the pickup. I've always heard that they are a discontinued part. Your only source would be used but they usually crack when they are removed so I never see them offered here or on eBay. I cast new ones for my 1st gen 4Runner using the cracked ones as a mold and using epoxy and fiberglass mat. I'm not sure I'll use them cause I already closed the old holes and they collect dirt and rust.

It's called a quarter wheel house cover, PNC 62613A(RH) & 62614A(LH). They are still available, in atleast 3 different colors(black, white, or light yellow). I see them listed for sale on atleast one OEM parts distributor's website. For ~$38 + shipping.

If you don't desire a totally stock appearance, those holes can be easily filled and painted to match. That's how my 88 was when I bought it.

used in that specific spot to stop rocks from "sandblasting" the paint

You seem like you might know quite a bit about oem parts, could you possibly guide me in the direction of finding oem door shells. I can try to get some for a junkyard but I'd rather buy new if possible

you can not buy new OEdoors anymore .. only Tiawan aftermarket doors .

I did them on my Trekker (lots of install pics on my build thread) , an have done a few on customers vehicles ..

dont think of 1960's fiberglass either .. our stuff is ALL new technology .

what our skins do is get rid of the gap on the fold of the OE skin , eliminating this gap will eliminate the main area for rust (bottom edge) so if you do it correctly , your door should out last the rest of the truck ... unless its done in our products of course

I would love to do the door skins but sadly the inside of the door is worse than the outside. The previous owner made the speaker holes bigger with what appears to be tin snips. Completely butchered it but maybe I can find some decent used doors and reskin them.

Got different doors from a junkyard. The inside is beautiful but the outside has holes from camper mirrors. Haven't decided if I want to try and patch them, or if I want to get door skins, it's down to what will take the least amount of time. How difficult is it to replace a door skin??
