blowing black smoke and running really rough
I have an 86 pickup reg 2 wheel drive with a 22R and its a 4 cylinder. About a week ago it started running like crap and blowing black smoke out of its exhaust. Also a little bit of liquid was coming out. It doesn't run rough all the time it seems that when I get going for a little bit it will run normal and smooth but still blows a little bit of black out. I already replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. Cleaned the coil and igniter and when I checked the spark plugs they were sparking a yellowish color. I'm lost on what could be making it run this way and blow the black smoke out. Anyone have an idea?

Blowing black smoke indicates your running too rich, which may mean a carburetor rebuild is in order, but what also got my attention is that you mentioned your spark being yellow. It should be a blue/white color could mean a weak coil/igniter.

I read in my manual that to check it it has to be at a cool temp. So I'm gonna have to wait a sec. It says to pinch the line then release and shut off truck and if gas comes out of the valve(which I couldn't figure out where that was). Then repeat when the truck is hot and if gas comes out there's a problem. If I open it up what does it look like inside? Is there a gasket or anything I can damage?
