92 Pickup 4wd 3.0 V6

I can get the battery to charge and turn on all the inside lights but as soon as I try and turn it over it makes a popping sound and everything goes dead. I'm pretty sure it's a short somewhere. So wondering if anyone could point me to a web site or something with a good wiring diagram and/or tell me what size fuse is suppose to go in the item pictured.

 

Best I can tell from your photo, that's all after-market (notice the blue hardware-store crimp in the background). You appear to be holding an inline fuse holder, and there are no stock inline fuses.
