It sucks that you have to get rid of your truck man. As far as the car goes, I'd get a stick, because it would actually be a little more fun than a slow truck. Although, from the vids you've posted, it looks like your truck moves pretty good now, compared to stock anyway.

to be honest, I've kinda started to grow apart from the truck...

it's like, I did my work with it, had a blast doing it, but now, I dunno... it's like, I'm done... lol, it's hard to explain...

I just want something nice and comfortable that rides really well, has a little better mpg, has decent power under the hood, oh and has leather seats, HID lights, power everything, and navigation built in

That has HIDs? sweet. I totally understand about the growing apart thing. I go that way with my last car, I wouldnt even drive it.

Once again, best of luck to you, I really enjoyed your threads and how much its helped me.

but down the road when the funds are there, I'll get a strictly trail rig, and then the true potential of superbleeder will be known by all of YT

Either one is a sweet ride. If I never want to drive the nice car, I steal the wife's loaded Honda Pilot. So I get what you mean. But still not as fast as the acura. Good luck with everything. And some folks act like you are dying. I am sure you will still jump back on here, you still are an "old fogey" around here and people could learn some things from you.

OMG!!!
Your need to keep that beast; all it needs is all the off road goodies and some huge meats!

But I understand if you need the $$$ to get the car. After years of driving a slow, not great riding rig it gets old... then you start to crave leather, A/C that works really good, and all the other nifty little gadgets.

I know cause i've been there & done that.

just as an update, it looks like, if all goes according to plan, the truck will be sold in the begining weeks of October, to a YotaTech member which will make me happy

AAANNNDDD, I've kinda ventured away from the idea of the used Acura TL as a replacement DD...

I'm now looking at something a little newer...

thought i'd hijack you 1 more time and show you my ride.

i actually always wanted a cadillac seville sts because of it's "sleeper" abilities, but this will do.

i've been driving this since last summer when my truck crapped out and held onto it (thankfully) after i got my truck running ecause, as you know, it died again.

and no, i'm not 60 or 50 or even 40 (close but not 40 yet)

aw dude I'd LOVE to have an STS, but yeah the Caddy's are killers man

I'm not a HUGE fan of the Northstar motors, but they do have some good output

you know, I'm undecided so far actually

1st choise would be a 1SS (don't really NEED all the bells and whistles of the 2SS), and after that would be a 1LT with the RS package

Plans though are for a 1SS auto with the tapshift I'm tired of shifting gears... unless I can do so with the push of a button

I can't believe it took me this long to create a part 2 video

oh and it's on PhotoBucket, not YouTube, cause YouTube is being stupid and saying it's "copywrite infrengement" or something

but it's still purdy cool; check it out!

Hey I'm sort of new to yotatech, I was wondering if I could ask you some quick questions about your rebuild.
- how long did it take you to complete it?
- what rebuild kit did you use and how much did it cost?
- Do you have any tips or pointers about the rebuild? Anything you would have done differently?

The reason I'm asking these questions is because I'm currently thinking about buying a first gen 4runner. I would have to do a complete engine rebuild. I'm also on a budget (college student). Any ideas or whatever about saving money with this process would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
