Here is where i'm at with my build, I plan on doing that break in method for sure. It makes perfect sence.

That MotoTune article has been making the rounds since it was written.

IMO, do break-in as per the piston ring manufacturer's instructions.

 

I think it sounds perfectly logical...but to each their own. I'll let you know how it runs. I plan on running her HARD!

If the engine had other problems, I would attribute it to a bad build, but there are a number of things that can cause a new slider cam to go flat like that.
