94 4Runner 3.0. just installed thanks to help from you guys,,and she is throwing black smoke badly..running super rough like a cyl misfiring..

Changed EGR,
Distributor,
Fuel Press. Reg,
Wires,
plugs(NGK),
Cap/Rotor,

Checked timing and threw light on all wires,,,a few are not giving steady flash.
Coil lead is mostly steady but random pauses in timing light which correspond to misfire although a little later like .25 sec.

Thats when I changed Distributor but no change.. I have a ton of spare parts but no coils,, Is there a way to confirm a bad coil?

 

Check the air temp sensor inside the AFM and the water temp sensor for the ECU, those are 2 things that can cause flooding.

 

I found the problem...changed O2 Sensor and still there.. while I was fiddling around I leaned on my MAF/Air Filter box and it ran great..
Changed MAF and still ran like crap...Connecters inside plug were backing out of plug itself..
Thought I would update all.
