black smoke?

so i have black smoke coming out of my tail pipe. is this ok cause i just rebuilt my mortor and i want to make sure everything is going good still

Black smoke is never a good thing....that means its dumping fuel

depending on the conditions around the smoking, it could also be ignition timing too advanced.

ya i think it could be that. and i have mass air flow sensor that came off a diff truck cause mine went to hell when i hit went under water. do you think it can be that? and i also think it might of came off a 4 cylender not a v6 but i dont think it would run at all if it was that

it would run, it will run wrong. I owuld be willing to bet thats part of your problem.

ya i've had similar problems with my truck. i had the carb rebuilt. then replaced the fuel pump and all fuel lines and my carb was still flooding. it got to the point to where i couldn't even keeping running. it's still not fixed but with a few adjustments to the idle speed and idle mixture screws i was able to drive it for over two hours and it still runs. maybe having a dealership adjust yours will fix it. idk know for sure tho.
