Best quality/heavy duty P/S pump?
Hey guys.
91 4r 3.0
About 6 months ago my p/s pump blew after I was going up a long steep hill, I was at about 4k rpm for a few minutes. Swapped it out, I think I got an autozone or orielleys reman pump, can't remember exactly. Worked great. Put maybe 10k miles on since.
The other day I spent the day at a local mud pit and admittedly I was a little hard on the steering and some high rpms but nothing crazy. Now my semi-new pump is acting up, hard steering at idle, fine when driving. Maybe I just got a crappy pump, I really didn't do anything that shouldve broken it, but regardless it needs to be replaced again.
So here's my question, what brand p/s pump is the best quality/will last longest? I don't want to get another cheapo reman and have it go out in another 10k mi. Rockauto has a Cardone, I've had good experiences with them but don't know about this specific part. Any insight?
