Try older Ford or Chevy vans and trucks

Hey Corax, can you tell us more about your hood vent thing? Does it help airflow through the rad on the highway?

One junkyard mod to add -- a coolant resevoir that I can actually SEE the coolant level in. Oh, and a "Tercel 4WD" emblem!

Sure, they came off a Ford T-Bird turbo Coupe from the late 80's. IIRC, these scoops were only used on the 4 cyl turbos and on the donor car faced forward. I put them facing rear so they would pull air out of the engine bay and reduce underhood temps. Even though I never tested them to see how effective they are I can feel a lot of hot air coming from them when the truck is stopped, I imagine they work just as well at highway speed. I made a cardboard template and lined it up to avoid cutting through any hood reinforcements. They are glued in with black RTV and are just as secure today as they were 5 yrs ago when I put them on. anything else?

My dad's 93 Chevy Suburban has one that uses a standard 1156 bulb. Sits on the passenger fender and unwinds almost across the engine bay.

The 88 cheap cherokee I learned to drive in (don't hate, I did upgrade) had one that would unwind to nearly the back of the rig IIRC

ISR mod and Camry AFM swap.
Maybe cost around $60-$80 total. Definitely a noticeable gain in power and sounds great.

I have a 3vze that i put the camry afm in, not a 22re. I think a supra afm works with the 22re but im not sure about that. But for my 3vze it was plug and play other than mounting it....

4.88 front diff with a LockRight and Yukon ring and pinion with 10k miles for $200.

This was bought from the yard owner whose soon-to-be-ex-wife set his 4Runner on fire. Interior was a total loss, but all the mechanical parts were fine.

Quite grim to see in person actually...but hey.
