Bed Patch Panels.
Does anybody know of a company that makes a patch panel for the bed fenders?
I understand they make patch panels for the seamed areas. But i can't seem to find a company that makes a patch panel for right around the gas tank.
Anybody?

i was at that site philly, i don't see any mention of the area around the gas tank filler...
I suppose i could try and make my own patch panel, but theres a ton of compound bends in that area..

why someone doesn't make some panels that would cover the rust cancer that forms in the rear fender rivet area, is beyond me, or strips to fill seams, oh well. Some just don't need a whole bedside. i am making some of diamond plate, i'll try n post pics.

how far are you willing to travel. I just did a quick search of c list around washington and oregon and found a few complete beds for relatively cheap. Take what you need and scrap the rest.

if i had a shortbed i'd go snag that baby right up...
IMO, if somebody started selling those patch panels, i'm sure they'd get a big profit.
All of my bed except that one area is bad, and i'm not about to drop a thousand bucks on a fiberglass bed when i could just weld in a piece of metal and POR15 the backside of it to seal it...
Plus the toyotafiberglass beds, while they are very nice, have the non-US version beds, rather than the bed i prefer.
Also, i like the security that when i strap down my quad i'm not going to absolutely destroy the fiberglass. My metal bed has metal loops on each corner that i take full advantage of.

I meant you could buy a bed for cheap and cut your own patch panel out of it to repair your current one. The length of the bed shouldn't matter unless you were looking for a complete bed side.

but i really don't NEED to buy an entire bed. Chances are the bed i buy is most likely going to have the same rust spots too, meaning i dropped cash on a useless thing...
