Ball Joint spacers.

I know they are cheap but I have a machinist buddy who will make them for me for free.Anyone have a detailed drawing of the spacers? Also, all I ever see are the upper BJ done.I would think this changes the upper/lower arms so they are no longer parallel? Would it not be better to space the lower down the same amount?

I dont think so, i believe the reason they only make the uper ones is bc the point of the bj spacer is to gain suspension down travel

I think it's just easier to do it on the top - all you're really doing is spreading the outside end of the control arms apart, so it doesn't matter if the spacer is on the top or bottom...

There's a web site www.tkoffroad.com that has a drawing of a spacer. All you need is a ball joint and use that as a template. Thats what I did.

The spacer goes on the upper arm since that is where the torsion bar connects.

If you put a spacer on the lower ball joint, all you would do is spread the control arms farther apart with no benefit.

then what about the 2wd's? the torsions attach to the lower arm but the spacers still go on the upper ball joint.

Putting a spacer on the bottom would do nothing but drop your control arm closer to the ground.

The spacer goes under the top because thats the only way for it to "lift" the front end up.

Perhaps on a 2wd, but on a 4wd it would do nothing.

I'm pretty sure the 2WDs have the torsion bar attached to the upper a-arm as well.
