Bad Fuel pressure regulator

Bad Fuel pressure regulator
I have a 92 3.0 v6 and it will run great before the engine gets up to operating temp but when it does it will start to kick and sputter and hesitate on acceleration. Could this be the regulator or something else? I have an auto shop class at school and i want to work on it there but i want to find out what it is first

For what kind of class do you figure out the answer before you come to class?
It's not the FPR; that has nothing to do with temperature. If your fuel pressure is wrong it will be wrong at all coolant temperatures.
If I was teaching that class (not that I'm qualified), I'd have my students start from the beginning. Check the basic stuff like timing, and work forward.
