bad 3.0 5 speed tranny problem

I have a new development in my shifting troubles.
About once a trip, when I've been driving about 10-15 minutes, accelerating, and shifting from 3rd to 4th, I depress the clutch pedal, but instead of the clutch disengaging I hear a loud clunk, and the shifter won't move at all. I have to take my foot off the clutch, and then tap the accelerator and It'll clunk again, then it's back to normal.
New Marlin Crawler Shifter seat, last check hydraulics were ok, bout 40k on the clutch.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're gonna be pulling a tranny. Can't think of anything that would cause it to behave like that.

Broken clutch disk. Next, you might smell something funny like burnig electrics. Then, you won't be able to shift at all. When you take the clutch apart you'll find the lining is no longer rivited to the disk. Have you been out pulling stumps?
