Good evening,
During my clutch repair I inadvertently damaged the connector for the backup light switch and I'd like to know what years the same switch is used. My vehicle is an '89 4-Runner, 3VZE, 5-speed. Attached is a pic of the switch and pig-tail.

Go to a dealer site like https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/T...421012040.html Find the part you're looking for. Click on "What this Fits."

You'll learn that a) the part is no longer sold by Toyota, and b) it looks like they used the same switch in 19 different models from 1989 to 2010!

I realize its been over a year since I first posted this, but I'm seeking additional input. As you can see from my original post the backup light switch I have has the pigtail. Scope103 was kind enough to provide a link but as noted by 13Swords the switch has been replaced with a switch w/o the pigtail, (see attached pics). I've run a number of google searches for the original p/n (8421012040) and so far all I'm getting returned is the replacement (8421052050)... I've sent a message request to Yota Yard, just waiting for a response. Anyone have an idea where to locate this switch?
