Back windowsc

I installed my soft top on my 89 and my back window will not roll up. All original bolts are installed along the bed rail. Not sure what else to do.

the rear window is not designed to roll up without the hardtop installed, theres an interlock involving the wiper. you would have to bypass that, which some people do.

A problem well-stated is almost solved.
Did it work before?
Did tailgate key work?
Did console switch work
How did you roll it down?

One simple, and FREE check you could do before tearing things apart will eliminate doubt on rear wiper retract/park position switch: Disconnect the connector at the rear wiper assembly. Try rolling window up or down.

Here is that special bolt mentioned above.

Right below that bolt is the cover top off switch (block piece). When bolt is properly pressing on it, contact will close. To eliminate doubt on it, disconnect connector to it, short the two pins of connector and try.
