I have learned over the years that you get back about 50% of what you put into it if you are lucky.

Also did that tire info help you in any way of finishing your truck B2K?

Stopped by the shop today so I can see everything in person.

I'm really satisfied on that corner! Everything original. No cutting and no replacing.

Now they have to wet-sand everything and polish it up (a bit dusty)

Hopefully next week they can send the bumpers and the light stand to get sand blasted and powder coated.

Good news is that the bumpers came in

Bad news is

Apparently it looked good on my buddies truck when we picked it up (Toyota PU). Problem is we ASSUMED it was the one.

Luckily I found a guy off craigslist about an hour from me and so i'm going to check it out Saturday and MAKE SURE IT FITS!!!!! I even asked him to take some measurements just to be sure.

On the other hand. I have a black powder-coated Roll Bar for sale.

O.k ladies and gentlemen, I have the truck. I just need the rollbar, bumpers and tires and she is complete. Maybe 2-3 weeks.

I was able to find the rollbar, and IT FITS!!!!!! Not only was I able to score on the rollbar but the guy also had a 1987 manual for sale too! SWOOP! Double score!

As for the rear bumper, I found a craigslist ad and I'm waiting for more detail pics because once I make that final decision, the guy is about 3hrs away

In the mean time, enjoy this teaser

Here is the link to my ad if anyone is interested:

It feels great to have Jennifer back. I just put in a little over 200 miles on the fresh built motor. So far so good.

Passed smog too!

Guys a little help here.

I've found a guy on craigslist that has the smittybilt rear bumper but this one does not have the brackets to mount. Those bolt on (separate pieces)

length is 60 inches
measurement between bracket mount 41 inches

What I measured on the truck, this is about right.

So those mounting arms, where do I get those?

What do they look like? If just flat plate steel it shouldn't be too hard to make a template and cut/drill them out.

I have one on my 4runner that I am going to take off. It has the brackets that bolt to the frame. I am in las vegas though. It would probably be a fortune to ship. My brackets are welded right to the bumper and bolted to the frame.

The one I have right now (post #247) which is also for sale, I'm really debating if I want to take it to a fabrication shop and have them mod it to fit.

I want that peace of mind by not having to mod a bumper to make it fit.

it almost looks like you could use the factory bumper brackets.
