Autozone CV Axle

Autozone CV Axle
What do you guys think about the cv axles from autozone for 69.99? Do they hold up? They have a lifetime waranty but who knows what that is good for. For the price I couldn't pass it up though. Doe anyoone have any experience with these?

I have one and have swapped it out twice, both for torn boots. The first one I tore the boot installing it and took it back no problem. I haven't had any problem taking them back.

At one point I was thinking about getting them. But then my mechanic told me they were no good. I never got them though or any new axles cause my 4Runner was totaled, but I would still go with the autozone cv axle based on the price.

I've been thinking about getting Autozone axles. It seems like it would be worth it for the price. Although, I fully expect to be using the lifetime warranty. All of the rebuilt axles that I've seen just don't hold up for very long.
When I owned a Subaru, my CVs went bad. At the time, NAPA was the cheapest so I bought them from there. The pain was that every six months I needed to use the lifetime warranty on one side or the other. But, I did get damn good at changing them.

I use them, no problems. The ones I've gotten recently in the Duralast box seem better (better boots) than the first one I got which was a Cardone. If anything looks remotely funky, I replace them, and have never had an issue with getting them warranteed.
I also bought a spare to carry on the trail.
I have no lift and manual hubs, though, so I'm generally pretty easy on CV's.
