Auto t-case question (3 pics)
I am attempting to swap my blown auto tranny for a newer (same model) tranny. So far, I have ran into some differences but nothing too difficult to fix. Yesterday, I discovered the wiring harness going from the new tranny is not nearly long enough to connect to my truck's harness. I have since been trying to swap harnesses which seemed o.k. until I came across this difference inside the T-case. The first pic is of the older t-case with NO extra wire going to unknown device. The second and third pics are of the newer t-case with some unknown device. Any thoughts to what this part is or does? I need to know if I can bypass or cut this part off....
