anyone have a carfax hook up??

Just an FYI, Carfax won't always be accurate. If someone did something to the vehicle and it didn't get a police report written up, it won't be recorded. Usually unless there's drugs, alcohol or someone got hurt. No police report. I know mine was clear and I saw issues right away. Same deal with a couple friends of mine.

Its against forum rules to ask for free carfax reports.
It should be noted that in some states all accidents over a certain value get a police report, and some states don't.
In NY if its over $1000 in damage it gets a police report. Anything under that the report is optional. If theres a crash that leads to an arrest it will also get a police report. Some dmv's also report odometer issues, or suspected issues that do sometimes show up on the carfax report.
Carfax is worth it imo, but I wouldn't use it as my only source of figuring out if the car was in a crash. When you're ready to go shopping get the $25 for unlimited vin's deal (or whatever it is), and just run every car that you look ats vin.
