No problem at all.
Pull the springs.
Pull the upper bumpstops.
Install airbags inside of springs.
Replace springs.
Run airlines.
Done.

I'm pulling mine out tomorrow (Sunday) and would gladly make you a hell've deal on them. They came on the 4Runner when I bought it (a few months back) and appear to be in perfect condition.
If you're interested I'ld probably work out a trade and maybe a couply of pennies for your rear bumpstops that you'll have to remove to install the a/b's.

Why wouldn't you just replace the springs entirely with airbags?

Having run air bags & leafs in my prior truck I can tell you that mixxing vastly different rates will give a very harsh ride.

You should be able to find an airbag which will do the entire job for you. Ditch the spring all together.

I got mine at 4wheelparts, $79.99 for the pair

just put the frame on jackstands and let the rear axle hang and it pulls the coils open enough to slide them in. I routed the airlines for both to a fill valve (same as a tire valve) mounted on the hitch for quick easy filling.

Did you leave a bunch of air in them at all times??? My dad has them on two of his rigs and when there is 5lbs of air they arent even noticible... but sure make a difference with 2Kin the bed, or back of the burb...

I love mine- I bought them with the intentions of doing it myself but the place I bought them had a good deal on installation so I let him do it...

Question I have... If a get a lift can I just put the "shock gaurds" (don't know the name but those rubber posts inside the springs) back in and cut them down to match the size of the lift?

bumpstops

I would think you would have to make a cricular I shaped bracket so that you still have a flat contact area for the airbag to sit on..

I got my airlift 1000s from summit racing, they did a good job of leveling the stock sag but they made the truck ride like poo. only took about 45 minutes with air tools and i had never done any suspension work( i.e super noob). they did make it handle like it was on rails though. just switch to LC coils though, i kept the bags at a really low psi to work as bumpstops until i can get some replkacements for the stock ones i chopped up.

Airbags are great if you plan on carrying a lot of heavy loads. If you are trying to get rid of sag I would replace your coil springs with taller ones with differnet spring rate. The airbags really limit your suspension travel and are not totally maintenance free.

Of course that's only a problem if you wheel the truck. Not sure what you use it for. just my $.02.
