Air conditioning question

I have a 92 dlx pickup 4x4 with a 22re and aut trans. My truck did not come with AC from the factory, but I have access to a complete AC system from an 87 4runner 4cyl. What will and will not work for this swap? I don't want to buy everything if most of it is different.

Any ideas on this? Did toyota change the AC system between an 87 4runner and 92 pickup?

I recently found out that there are at least 2 different bolt patterns for the compressor/engine mounting. It's only the top rear bolt, but it is different.

Sorry that I can't be of more help.

You could go to ackits.com and see which parts are different.

I can tell you that at minimum, the amplifier and dash switch are different. If you can read electrical diagrams and are able to trace simple circuits you can re-wire the harness that connects the amplifier/evaporator assembly to the vehicle.

I installed a factory A/C kit from an '86 into my 93. Everything fit except those 2 parts.

Wide pattern is the R12, narrow is r22.
