Advice on Downey T-bars

Ive got a chance to buy some 28mm Downey torsion bars for $150, Ive got a heavy front bumper with a winch. Whats the thought, will these help pick up the front end back to level ( about 1 inch) and give a decent ride? Or are they junk. Thanks for any adviice

First off, I bought a used set for $100 shipped off of a fellow YT member, $150 sounds a little high to me.

Second and to answer your question they will raise your front end back up to level, and should work great with your bumper and winch. Mine are a little stiff even when fully relaxed, but I do NOT have a bumper or winch yet. I hope to build the bumper this spring.

They do go quick, being that Downey is out of business and they are no longer avaliable. I know that SAW and OME are still making and selling upgraded torsion bars.

They won't help pick up the front end, unless you crank them. Which if you do, will compromise/change ride quality(regardless of whether you've added weight to the front of the vehicle or not). To try and guess how much, is a complete shot in the dark. So unless you were to recieve some input from someone who has the EXACT same setup as yours(same truck, engine, bumper, winch, same diameter T-bars, +1 inch T-bar lift), then any advice you get regarding ride quality is going to be useless.
