which add-a-laef is better???

so as soon as the weather warms up here in the northeast i'm going to be fixing the saggy butt porblem with my 89...i.e. the add-a-leaf solution...but which brand should i get and waht size...i don't want to add a leaf and have my butt end a ton more stiffer because of it...so i'm looking for input...thnxs alot

i used trialmaster short aal
measured 4" after i put it in
(i also took out the overload spring)
had it in about a week now
i have yet to drive it
(no drive train at all)

i have heard that the rancho's are the best to go with...i think they come with 4 leafs...so you can mix and match depending on the ride quality desired

I have Pro-Comp, and I'm pretty happy with it. When the bed is totally empty, it's a little on the stiff side, but when I've got it loaded with all my bikes, boards, and camping and climbing gear, it rides pretty nice. I have also heard pretty good things about Ranchos... I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the longer the AAL, the less stiff.... But I might have that backwards... I'm sure someone will elaborate... Good luck.

i looked up the Ranchos and they are $45.89 with out shipping and that includes the 2 short aal and 4 center bolts...i think i might go with that...

I didn't notice a change in ride quality. I have 3" superlift AALs and whatever change it made was definatly for the better.

I have BDS ones sitting waiting to install...they are from the same company that makes rancho's stuff

i paid $35 locallyfor them brand new though

ok..so i will oder the Ranchos this week...now i want to know how to crank up the torsion bar in the front so the front will come up an 1/2-1 inch...

just bought the Rancho aal for $57 shipped here in 2-3 days...i'll post pics. for the instalation...see you guys l8er...
