ac install help

Hey everyone
I am installing a complete ac system into my truck and I can not figure out where one of the connection goes. My truck is a 1988 pickup 22re. It's a 4 prong connector that comes off the ac amplifier. If anyone could help me by telling me where it goes or if I even need to connect it. Thanks for everyone's help.

There are two connections to the Main Harness along the top of the dash. It looks like one of those but I could be wrong. I have installed ac and have run into where everything is nearly the same but they do change one plug on them for some years. You may need to get one from the bone yard for your year.

The A/C harness is all hooked up in my truck, and the dash is ripped out. I'll take a picture of that tonight. I don't have a specific answer off the top of my head. Air Conditioning in general baffles me.

Looks like you need to source a connector and do some wiring. The FSM has a wiring diagram. It changes sometimes year to year. You could look at the colors in the harness for your truck and in the harness for the year the A/C came from and compare to see which pin should go where.

Well it looks like I may have found the problem. The place I ordered the whole ac system from pulled it from a carb truck and not a fuel injected one. They are going to send the right parts out monday. So I hope all goes well. Thanks for everyones help

I did not realize car and fuel injected made a difference. I have seen some year changes on the wiring. Thanks for letting us know there is a difference. Will keep that in mind. Thanks again!!!

I think it's a year difference too. I don't think it is carb vs EFI. I'm EFI and have the connector in question correctly hooked up. I'm thinking it's early vs late that's the issue.
