I know the feeling, after rebuilding my buddies engine. But I don't get the satisfaction of driving it everyday. lol

Take care of it and it will last a LONG TIME!!
Keep us posted on how it's doing and what you've done to adjust and correct the hesitation. : )

I know this is an old thread but it's great to read it because he's talking about MY truck. I bought this rig from him a few months ago and I've been wondering about what the hell has been done to it before I got it. Totally gonna go through every inch of his other posts now..

hey guys I regret to inform you that i think i may be having teh same problem. here are my symptoms. Loss of power and lots of loud knocking that i thought was a lifter of a rocker but i took the valve cover off and everything looks fine. Turned the engine over a few times trying to get each side off the compression stroke and the rockers all look fine. I did have loose bell housing bolts that made my previous poist about grinding and squealing from the tranny. Ill have to go check those after reading but id still like to have your thoughts.

when you do pull the head dont forget the bolt under the distributor gear
