95 runner not getting fuel!
Hey!
ok so i have a 95 runner v6 with auto trans not getting fuel... so fisrt i check the fuel rail, no luck, so i bought and changed the fuel pump and strainer, no luck afeter that either, so decided to change the fuel filter... no luck as well! i have the FSM so i can look pretty deep in problems but this one cant seem to find the problem... i check fuses relay 12v everything amps everything but still not getting fuel! now tomorow im gunna try taking down the gas tank once again the check directly the pump see if i have the 12v... o and i disconected the line before the fuel filter to if i had gas and no luck!
running out of options...

check the afm turn on the 4runner and move the flapper in side see if u get fuel if not then see if jumping in the diagnostic box u get the pump to work, i dont remember the numbers, if u look around u can find a couple threads about this stuff...

air flow meter. its on top of the air box, there is a flapper in there it controlls the fuel pump. threw the ecu. u need to jump +B and FP then see if it will pump.

Before you take the air box apart I'd jumper at the diagnostic connector. Even if the AFM is out you should be able to get enough fuel to start (because the pump should run with the key to start, and only once the key goes back to ON do you need the signal from the AFM).
If jumping the diagnostic connector "solves" your problem then the AFM is on the list. I'm going to guess it does nothing (without the starter turning you should be able to HEAR the fuel pump running). Then you most likely have a wiring/relay problem.
And since you have the FSM already, you're way ahead of the rest of us.

Ya the fsm helps a lot! and thxs but looks like has to be something wrong with the pump again... u tlaked about maybe a relay problem?

Well looks like its the pump! i might of did something wrong with because its new! i will take everything down again and put 12v direct on the pump!

ok so ive been workin on it all weekend and i started by checking the pump but it works so i a hole lot of electrical troubleshooting because i cant get 12v to the pump relay i found under the dash... and i cant seem to find the sta (circuit opening relay) i can see it in the Fsm but not in the truck!
