I need some help after me and my mechanic friend change the valve covers. I think we have everything else in place from the FSMs I have found on here but I cannot figure out where the empty hose (pictured below) is suppose to go. On an old picture I seen where we had it going somewhere but I can't find the hose and don't know where. Check Engine light is on and and I think this is the reason

 

Mine runs down to a hard line then connects to one of the ports on the bvsv.

 

Post #7 here shows the hose attached to the open port on a '94 and the photo in post 13 in the same thread shows it dropping down a bpealer explains.

Maybe it will jog the memory.

 

Thanks, ended up finding it hiding. Now gotta figure out how to get the code for the check engine light.

 

Pull the negative battery cable to clear the code and see if it reappears.

Edit: Or, the EFI fuse as scope103 reminds below.

Your "hiding" vacuum line goes to the Thermal Vacuum Valve (TVV) and then onto the Evap Canister. Leaving it open will produce a very small vacuum leak, which might be the cause of your code, but probably not. DO pull the EFI fuse to clear codes, first. (pulling the negative battery cable is not only more difficult, but you'll lose all your radio stations, ...)
