'95 4Runner, fuel milage

Ok, it's new to me.
'95 4Runner, 3.0, 31's and 4.88's, auto.
What are others getting, fuel milage wise on
similar setups.
What should I expect.

Thanks,
Fred

I have a pickup, but from what I've seen on here from other guys....you'd be lucky to get 15mpg

all depends. some people get 18, some get 12(me) all depends on how you drive and where you drive. i drive all town and with that i get 12mpg, the best i had was 13mpg and that was last week : ) but on the freeway i have gotten 18-19mpg and that was up hill over the sierras. so it all matters on what type of driving you do.

sometimes with pure in town driving, only short trips I get as low as 9-10 mpg. Pure Interstate I have gotten a bit over 20 mpg on a tank. Around 15-16 mixed.

17-19 consistently, even with a bad knock sensor/wire. Same gears/tires/tranny as yours.

I think the manual transmission 4Runners average better mileage than most of the autos. I do a mix and average 17. I imagine with a light to no load on 100% freeway I'd get 20

Ok, for my first tank of fuel, mostly around town driving, with a little (a few miles each way) of freeway driving to and from work, yielded 17.5 mpg.
