95 22re running very rough, won't idle
Okay, new here, trying to help out a neighbor. I have basic mech knowledge, built a few 5.0 engines, not much on EFI.
95 pickup, 22re, 5 spd. After sitting for 3 years, last summer I replaced the fuel pump, strainer, pickup, plugs and alt, it ran for a few months just around their farm and then lost power. It only seems to be running on 2 cylinders.
Tonight I pulled the valve cover, all cam lobes look good, and valves are moving. The front and rear plugs look to be burning, the center two look sort of wet. Timing light shows all four are firing. Tried pulling codes but only get constant blinking. Cleaned all four plugs and now seems to be running even worse.
I was thinking clogged injectors, but the plugs don't stay dry.
Looking for ideas, trying to fix as cheap as possible to just run around the farm.
Thanks.

I finally gave in and pulled the intake, 3 of the injectors were clogged from very small rust particles. I cleaned them, all are spraying, but one is still not firing. I can here each clicking while running.

Google 22re check engine codes. You need to use a jumper to short two diagnostic terminals before turning key to acc....the engine check icon will then flash a few times in sequence....use what you googled to diagnose.
Good luck!
