22re 2nd short bed single cab…We bought this truck a few months ago and use a brick for the parking brake. The cab side of things looks okay. The lever works and pulls back the cable. But down below next to the manual transmission the cable that runs to the rear wheels is broke- missing- gone- what do I need to fix? Hopefully I can upload a pic
I just bought a "cable #1" forward section of the parking brake cable for my truck. Like mentioned, there's a few different ones. The Toyota parts places now will not go back that far with your VIN even though they ask you to put it in. (On the sites I used anyway) BUT, the thing that will make sure it's the correct one is filling out the drop down menu for your truck options and most importantly the model code. Such as RN66. It 's on your body tag and stamped in the frame rail. That number is what singled out the correct cable for my truck.
IDK how a 2WD truck is setup. My 4WD has a T-handle to pull. the front cable. It is attached under the dash and there are youtube videos showing tricks to change it. Mine also has two bolts at the firewall to remove it. There is a pulley in the mechanism as well you will see. Kind of a pain to change it on mine anyway.
Even if you get aftermarket such as Dorman, you need to know the length and the type of end on it. There are several styles and returning parts is never fun. Good luck.

on a 1993 there should be a label on the driver's door jam that has all your vehicle info. It has your VIN#, but look at the bottom of the decal and you'll see the model number. This is the most useful when you visit EPC-data.com or Amayama.com.
It's kind of odd for someone to remove both rear brake cables. You might pull that bellcrank and clean it up with naval jelly and possible run a tap/die down the threaded bolt and nut. That's where a majority of the parking brake adjustment is done-not at the wheels. Maybe it seized and kept the brakes locked up, so they removed the cables. Just a guess.

I see Raybestos sells a rear left parking brake cable assy for a 1989-1995 truck (other brands a well) with the brake shield fitting.
I would imagine they sell a right rear as well........somewhere.
Your body style long/short bed might make a difference.
You could call ask Parts Geek or Raybestos directly.
Good luck. https://www.partsgeek.com/h44pgp9-to...5c8efae6f5f981
